An Introduction To Hurricanes & Tornadoes
The so-called tornado season lasts from April to June. The hurricane season picks
up in June and lasts until November. But there's one problem with using the term
season-- hurricanes and tornadoes have occurred in every month of the year. Also,
because both hurricane and tornado damage is caused by tremendously powerful wind
and heavy rain, it seems natural to combine information on hurricane safety and
tornado safety. However, there are important differences between these two devastating
phenomena.
